For more than two decades, I lived on a sitcom soundstage in Hollywood. From Two and a Half Men to The Big Bang Theory, The Millers, Samantha Who?, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Kickin’ It—there’s nothing that will ever match the high of show night on a live-audience sitcom stage. It’s pure magic.

The challenge of connecting with an audience in real time—the laughter, the rhythm, the sense of community—is what I loved most about this business. Sitcoms are community art.

While working in Los Angeles alongside some of the best writers, directors, and actors in comedy, I realized something: the heart of those stories—the humor, humanity, and hope that make sitcoms timeless—belongs in the middle of the country.

So I decided to bring it home.

Reagan (2024)

I play Betty, a wonderfully fun role in the Reagan biopic starring Dennis Quaid, filmed in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Directed by my friend Sean McNamara, this project spans eight decades of Reagan’s life. The film premiered August 2024. Available on Apple TV and Amazon Prime.

Fresh Off the Boat (ABC)

I was honored to bring to life Deidre, the sassy neighborhood queen bee, from pilot to finale. Six seasons of fantastic family comedy. Binge all episodes on Hulu, Apple TV, Amazon Prime or Disney+.

Mad Men (AMC)

In the final season of Mad Men, I had the thrill of playing Melanie Davis, Don Draper’s truth-slinging realtor opposite Jon Hamm. This series was a dream. From Janie Bryant’s dreamy wardrobe in the legendary world that Matthew Weiner created. It truly felt like being transported in time. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.
